Jazzman records released
Away with Melancholy, a fantastic first record from a mysterious band called
The Natural Yogurt Band. Actually the band was a Nottingham (UK) duo formed by
Wayne Fullwood (drums, bass) and
Miles Newbold (keyboards, flute, vibes and other unusual instruments). This indescribable and cult album sounded like a jamband, psychedelic movie soundtracks and acid jazz simultaneously. Three years later
The Natural Yogurt Band is back with
Tuck In With... (
Now-Again), an outstanding follow-up to their first record.
Miles Newbold selected a few tracks for this mix in his vinyl collection, from soulful jazzy flute to rare forgotten masters' tunes. He was kind enough to add some unreleased tracks from his other project called
The Sign of Four and
Audio Optics. The whole thing is groovy, fun and weird as
