Paris DJs Soundsystem Take The Chains Off Your Brains Psychedelic Hip Hop Funk and Jazz Grooves

'Take The Chains Off Your Brains - Psychedelic Hip Hop, Funk & Jazz Grooves will be the 5th compilation coming out on the Paris DJs label, and the second one dwelving into the complexities of the Hip Hop culture for the Paris DJs Soundsystem crew, after the prized 'It's The New Hip Hop Thing' compilation released on the now defunct Vibrations magazine in 2009.

After four Afro/tropical compilations released in just 12 months, Paris DJs are starting to explore some more diverse musical areas, and are glad to welcome Paris-based Miska, an unstoppable newcomer in the international Hip Hop scene, aboard some their musical adventures, starting with the curating of this new selection. Psychedelic Hip Hop, Funk & Jazz Grooves

Already four Paris DJs Soundsystem compilations have been released so far:
- 'Dis Is Good For You' (oct. 2012)
- 'We Are The Fire Inside Your Mind' (may 2013)
- 'Rise Of The Troubadours Warriors' (july 2013)
- 'Have You Ever Been To Electric Afroland?' (oct 2013)

For this fifth volume, the subtitle will be be 'Psychedelic Hip Hop, Funk & Jazz Grooves', for which we found the following title: 'Take The Chains Off Your Brains?', fitting our "Psychedelic Hip Hop" concept. Amazing illustrator Ben Hito asked one of his estimeed collegues Bernard Bittler designed an original artwork, mind-blowing stuff in our books really. And then we're sending the finished art cover as a source of inspiration to our network of artists, asking for tracks…
The selection will be curated by the Paris DJs crew with the help of Miska from Miska Events.

If you follow our work you know the deal by now :

- b-boys & b-bgirl in outer space
- artists bringing back the spirit of Edan's masterpiece 'Beauty & The Beat'
- raw dancefloor fillers connecting the various strands of hip hop culture
And of course you'll understand that songs with uncleared samples won't be accepted.
