Sound Sugar Hands On EP

Off the hills of Paris Montmartre comes the man behind Soul Sugar: Guillaume Méténier is regarded as one of Europe's grooviest keyboardists. He's specialized in vintage keyboards such as Clavinet, Fender Rhodes, and most of all B3 Hammond organ. After his critically acclaimed first album Nothing But the Truth (Freestyle Records, 2010), he's back with a new soul/jazz/dub gem titledHands On, a limited edition EP featuring tracks from the forthcoming eponym album, plus an exclusive remix by Blundetto. As a disciple of the legendary Dr. Lonnie Smith with whom he regularly studies organ, Guillaume belongs to a great blues, soul jazz and funk ancestry stretching from Jimmy Smith, Jimmy McGriff, Brother Jack Macduff, to Booker T, Art Neville, Bernie Worrell, and Jamaica greats like Jackie Mittoo. He brings his own ingredients and smooth style to the stainless soul-jazz trio recipe.
