Afro Disco Boogie Reggae Edits Vol 5 Mukat Edits

While Vol.4 of the 'Mukat Edits' series was a Tropical Funk 45, Volume 5 is back on track as a limited, hand-numbered 12 inch vinyl - with no digital release or promo as usual with those edits…

The A-side opens with a quite irresistible Afro Disco piece, the rallying kind which will have everybody get up and dance in clubs or every bedroom DJ play it on again and again and again. We then go back into more classic disco boogie territories, with a tune for those who say La Funk and not Le Funk.. and the B-side is of the same ilk, hand-clapping modern soul for classic DJs. The EP closes with some VERY cool reggae vibes, taken from the b-side of a Heatwave funk single from 1977 dwelving into a pop reggae mix after the normal length track would finish, edited here into a superb instrumental jam for maximum coolness!

Press Release :
Yet another slab of strictly vinyl only goodness and exclusive to Juno from MUKAT edits camp. Taking no prisioners with 4 tracks carefully sliced & spiced to delight the more diverse of dance floors. EP kicks off with ''I'm On It'' with a relentless pulsating disco bass, upfront brass stabs, wah wah guitar and an african vocal too boot. A2. ''Funk Is What You Want'' hits the spot with a catchy boogie disco funk vocal bomb with emphasis on squelchy synth bass and female vocals. On the flipside some feel good soulful 1980's disco boogie vibes with the male lead declaring dont '' Make Me Wait''. The EP closes on a saucy tropical reggae instrumental workout lead by organ and a skanking rhythm under the guise of the dubious title of '' Martinique Shuffle''.
