Afro Disco Boogie Edits Vol 3 Mukat Edits

Not to be confused with the GUYNAMUKAT EDITS release of the same name released in 2011 (played in this Paris DJs mix or in Nik Weston Afro Tropical Special), this 3rd volume of the limited edition 12 inches from the 'Afro Disco Boogie Edits will see the light of day on the MUKAT EDITS label at the end of the month.

Starting with a bumpin disco number, 'Funky Music Burning In My Soul", you get instantly what this record is all about: funky claps & guitar, slapping bass and an anthemic chorus 'Everybody get up, and dance, it's a brand new thing'… Hard to resist, this is floorfiller material for sure. Things then slow down a bit with 'Biggies Boogie', a very well rounded-up edit of trumpetist Herb Alpert's number one hit from 1979, 'Rise', keeping only the good bits for extended slo-mo pleasure.

B-side opens with a deep hip hop/dub instrumental reminding Dr Dre's instrumental for 'The Next Episode', one that'll fit anykind of sets, and closes with the bouncin' boogie instrumental 'Steady As She Goes For The Pancake Purists', with loveable strings and a funky keyboard solo.
